Forest Bathing

Forest Bathing at the Eno River. This is not a hike, it’s an invitation to give your attention to the land and receive whatever might be offered in return.

“The power of nature exists in its silence.”

Forest Bathing

In person at the Eno River

Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 10a-12p
Meet at the last parking lot for the Eno Trace Trailhead
6131 Cole Mil Rd, Durham NC 27705

Inspired by the ancient traditions of finding healing in nature and the Japanese health practice of shinrin-yoku, we’ll immerse ourselves in the natural world and discover what wants to emerge. Through guided embodiment practice, sensory connection, and meditation, we’ll explore what it feels like to be present, grounded, and connected with the more-than-human world. This is not a hike, it’s an invitation to give your attention to the land and receive whatever might be offered in return.

All ages welcome.
Suggested donation of $30-60 to support this offering. Send support via Cash App $sunandbone or Venmo @sunandbone after registering. Let’s live into a gift economy together.

“The power of quiet is great. It generates the same feelings in everything one encounters. It vibrates with the cosmic rhythm of oneness. It is everywhere, available to anyone at any time. It is us, the force within that makes us stable, trusting, and loving. It is contemplation contemplating us. Peace is letting go– returning to the silence that cannot enter the realm of words because it is too pure to be contained in words. This is why the tree, the stone, the river, and the mountain are quiet.”

–Malidoma Patrice Somé

Be Ground

Be crumbled, so wildflowers will come up where you are.

You've been stony for too many years.

Try something different.

Surrender.
