Close to History

We use the same devices

again

and history does not repeat itself

but the path switches back so tightly,

half or more of the view

is still the same as

yesterday.

The river current presses on

except in this curve or

that edge

where forward is backward

and yet

it all moves on.

We are too close to see,

or not close enough.
