Sleeping Movements

There are plants

that move

that appear to feel daylight and night.

Prayer plants,

leafy arms like

hands lifting, coming together.

But is this sensitivity

to light,

to energy, to warmth, to resource,

is this prayer?

But is this inner force

that knows 

when the day is done

when sleep must come,

is this prayer?
