Do we learn what is best for us?

Is it in the glimmering light

in those eye that have spent their lifetime 

studying our own. 

Is it in our bones. 

And why does it hurt so much

to be found in both?

And then to hear it in the eyes of 

a stranger?

We come from the same bones.
