To the women

who are at once strong

and deeply vulnerable:

Here is the blanket 

of my allegiance,

knit together, stitched with my 

thread-bare hands,

to warp around your shoulders as you 

stand your ground. 

Can I help keep your heart warm,

as you keep it beating to

reimagine this world.
